Kids Summer Reading Event-Author Taylor Lahey
Visit the Carmel Public Library for a special presentation with Author and Community Activist Taylor Lahey. Taylor is the author of the book, Cambio.
Câmbio is about a Child who picks up trash and trades it for Bus Tokens, through a City program called the Exchange. As he cleans up his neighborhood and rides the bus, a magical glow appears around the new people he meets along the way. But the Glow quickly vanishes and doesn’t return for many years, Until one day, it reappears and changes the Child’s entire Neighborhood. The story contains a message that is relevant to growing local communities in the complexity of the world. The heart of the story shows us a vision of what life could be like when our communities take care of each other and the spaces we live in.
Plan to be inspired and uplifted through Taylor’s community activism and ideas to create a better world.
This event is designed for children 5-12 year and their adult. No sign up required, SPACE LIMITED
